Locations used include Skomer House in Penarth and Elm Tree House School in Llandaff. The Story of Tracy Beaker aired on CBBC and since the second series, it was produced and filmed in Cardiff. The series followed the very outspoken, and sometimes rude, Tracy Beaker as she grows up in a care home. Adapted from the Jacqueline Wilson book series, The Story of Tracy Beaker first hit screens in 2002 and quickly became a children's TV favourite.
